We here at Blossom Valley Bible Church have a staff dedicated to serving God and the Body of Christ.

Pastor Tim Bowman: Senior Pastor

Pastor Tim Bowman has been part of Blossom Valley Bible Church since September of 1990. He joined the church when there were fewer than 35 people in regular attendance. Faced with a bleak situation and dwindling finances, Tim and his family came to BVBC driven by faith that the Lord would do a mighty work here. Well, the Lord did do some great work. Within one year attendance rose to 260 and climbed steadily for years after! Only the Lord can make such things happen. Pastor Tim is thankful and at awe that he could be a part of something so great and he is anxious to see what other work the Lord has planned.

Pastor Tim accepted the Lord as his personal savior at the age of 10 in his hometown of Palmdale, CA. and was baptized that same evening. Some 7 years later, at a Hume Lake summer camp, the Lord placed it on his heart to go into full-time ministry. He interned for a year at Los Gatos Christian Church while earning his BA degree from San Jose Christian College and later earned his Masters degree at Multnomah Biblical Seminary. Before joining the staff at BVBC, Tim spent 18 years as a youth pastor and 2 years ministering to young couples and families.

Pastor Tim is also a family man. He loves his wife and three girls with all his heart, but more than this, he loves the Lord Jesus Christ. To say that he loves the Lord with all his heart, soul, and mind is an understatement. He describes his love for the Lord as “unquenchable, enthusiastic, and energetic.” Tim is thoroughly passionate about building relationships and connecting people. “I enjoy seeing the love of God and the people of God get together to do the work of God. I love to take people where they are and get them to a deeper relationship with God. When that happens, I know the Lord is at work and He is pleased.”

When you first meet Tim, he makes you feel like you’ve been friends for a long time. His firm handshake or hug along with his warm smile makes you feel relaxed and comfortable and you quickly forget that he’s the pastor of a church. Tim loves his job and considers himself blessed many times over for the work that God has done in the lives of the people he shepherds. “I consider myself to be a very blessed man. I can’t believe I get paid to do something I love so much!”

Mary Drummond: Children's Ministry Director

Mary Drummond has worked as Director of Children's Ministry at BVBC since 1997. She has been married to Matthew for 24 years and has 2 daughters in college and a son in high school. Mary & her family enjoy opening their home to medically fragile foster children, providing a safe and caring environment for infants and toddlers.

Some might disagree, but Mary thinks she has the best job at Blossom Valley Bible Church! She has the privilege of providing quality care and Bible teaching for all the children at BVBC nursery through fifth grade. She recognizes the importance of establishing a Christ-centered home and is excited to help provide a friendly environment where children are introduced to Christ. Mary enjoys helping create fun events for BVBC children and their families in an effort to help church families create strong bonds. Our Tuesday Kids’ Club at Santa Teresa Elementary has over 80 children participating each week!

Mary brings a love of missions to her position, having traveled to Turkey to volunteer in an orphanage. She also traveled with a team to Peru to host a Vacation Bible School where 250 kids attended and 79 made first time decisions for Christ. You can contact Mary at 408.227.2608 or by email:
